PHASE I PLATINUM SOLO ART TRIAD I
These three tracks represent one of his most inventive solos in “That’s Pretty” from his Sound Ideas album in
#1) The original track from his first album recorded on October 8, 1978.
#2) The solo by itself from the same session and
#3) The original sketch when he first composed the melody.
PHASE II DETROIT BLACK JOURNAL TV TRIAD I
These five tracks are from the sound track of the “Detroit Black Journal” television program TRIAD performed in
on September 7, 1980. The only group recording of “Debonaire” is on track #6. There is also an informative
interview of all the musicians in the group conducted by Gene Elzy, the host of the show.
PHASE III DETROIT JAZZ CENTER TRIAD II & III
These two tracks are out takes from the “center\\\cuts” CD album at the Detroit Jazz Center World Stage
recorded on April 30, 1981. The first was originally split in half by an accidental tape machine misfire. The second, a short cut of a waltz that could have been important if the tape had not run out.
PHASE IV MONTREUX DETROIT DVD TRIAD II
These four tracks represent the tunes on the sound track of the VHS tape from the “Detroit Montreux Festival” on September 7,1981. They are the audio recordings since the original video tape sound track was not edited properly.
This a fourteen second intro to a different tune of his, “Green Bananas” that represents TRIAD’s last concert
performance almost 27 years ago…
